Independant and long-established company broker
Diverco is an independent, and no doubt the longest-established family company broker within the SME sector – with successful experience going back to the late sixties.
Peter Dodgson established Diverco in 1968 after seeing an opportunity for a knowledgeable and professional brokerage firm to help small to medium sized privately owned companies find exit solutions from their businesses. Since Peter’s passing in 2011 the company has been run by his son Jamie & Bill Good as CEO
Diverco is represented throughout the UK and Ireland by a network of offices and senior regional directors who have a wealth of experience both in company sales and, in many cases, from having successfully run and sold their own businesses.
There is no substitute for ‘hands on’ assistance when it is time to plan your Sale. These specialists, support clients at every stage, attending and leading meetings, arranging visits by prospective purchasers and generally ensuring the sale stays on course – and importantly totally confidentially. We liaise closely with accountants and legal advisors.
We specialise in not only getting the right price for the client but as equally important is finding the right buyer. Most of our clients do not want to sell their company to a competitor and see their nurtured company with its employees radically changed. They want somebody, individual or corporate, to take on their company and develop it further. The majority of our purchasers are unknown to the seller prior to our introduction. We have a large data base of acquirers, and also advisors seeking opportunities for their clients. We advertise confidentially and we do direct marketing of the client to likely interested market sectors also seeking overseas buyers where that appears a possibility. We continue to market the company until we find a suitable buyer for the company.
Acting for vendor clients in the disposal of their companies is Diverco’s sole business, independent from any other conflicting activities or hidden agendas, which can interfere with the best interests of the client. Your interests and Diverco’s are therefore one and the same.
